Iron Energy+ contains vitamin C to help to aid with absorbtion. However you should avoid taking Iron Energy+ with milk, as this will inhibit iron absorbtion.

Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin and can be difficult for the body to absorb efficiently. The absorption rate is about 50% for the first 2 mcg, but it decreases significantly with higher doses:

- At 500 mcg, approximately 10 mcg is absorbed (2%).
- At 1000 mcg, approximately 13 mcg is absorbed (1.3%).
The NHS in the UK advises that taking up to 2000 mcg of B12 supplements daily is unlikely to cause harm.

The B12 content for each supplement is as follows:

When combined, your total B12 intake would be 1003 mcg per day, which is well within the NHS-recommended limit. This combined dosage would result in an absorption of approximately 13-14 mcg of B12, which is sufficient to address potential deficiencies.

Our supplement contains iron in the form of ferrous fumarate. We use this form of iron in due to its high bioavailability, meaning it's easily absorbed by the body. Ferrous fumarate provides a concentrated source of iron, making it effective in treating and preventing iron deficiency anemia. Additionally, it tends to be gentler on the stomach compared to other forms of iron, which can help minimise digestive discomfort.

Iron supplements can interact with several medications, including antacids, antibiotics, and drugs used for Parkinson's disease and thyroid conditions. Iron can also affect the absorption of other medications.

Avoid taking longside Biotin Growth+ (wait at least 2 hours) due to potential interference with Zinc absorption.
