A Message to Our Customers

Tuesday 23rd June 2026

Update: Our independent third-party testing for Ashwagandha Calm+ has come back and the results show our Withanolide content is 100%+ of what's stated on the label as opposed to the <1% claimed in Logan King / NF Supplement's video.

You can find the test result 👉 linked here. We will be releasing a full breakdown of this test result shortly.

We are aware of several promotional videos being shared online by a direct competitor showcasing Nutrition Geeks products and claiming that they have independently tested our range of supplements, with claims that selected products are under-dosed.

The videos have given many viewers the false impression that our wider supplement range is under-dosed, not properly tested, or contains little to no active ingredients. This impression is completely false & we want to assure customers that in the coming weeks the full truth will come to light. And rest assured, we will be releasing full independent third-party testing on the website in the coming days but more on that later.

We want customers to understand the context. These videos have been created by a direct competitor while promoting their own supplement range. We support transparency and independent testing, but any claims made in that setting should be considered carefully and judged on the full scientific evidence, not just headline statements in promotional videos.

We will address the testing concerns in detail below, but first we want to reiterate something important:

Nutrition Geeks has always been, and will always be, committed to putting customers first.

That has been a founding principle of the business, and it influences every decision we make. It is not just a theory - here are some real decisions we have made to put customers first.

Free express delivery on every order:

We made a conscious decision to use a premium next-day delivery service with no delivery fee and no minimum spend. If you have ordered from us before, you have likely experienced this. It means we offer free express delivery nationwide, even on a single £6.99 pack of Turmeric.

No price changes despite inflation:

Speaking of Turmeric, this was our first-ever product and was launched on our website five years ago at £6.99. At the time, that was a market-leading low price. Despite inflation and consumer goods prices increasing by around 25% since then, we have kept both the price and product size exactly the same.

Third-Party Test Results

And if anyone thinks low prices mean weak dosages, they don’t… we already hold heavy metal, and active ingredient testing via Eurofins for our products.

Below is an example of third party testing for our Vitamin D 4000iu:

👉 Active ingredient test (link here): measures how much of the active ingredient is in the tablet - in this case Cholecalciferol (vitamin D amount) measured in IU per kg.

👉 Heavy metals test (link here): confirms the product is free from harmful metals and safe to take.

If you looked at the active ingredient test and were confused about what you were looking at then you’re not alone. Here’s a quick explanation of what it shows:

When you open up the Eurofins active ingredient test, you should see 29,500,000 IU/kg and a 'mean tablet weight' of 0.14g.

So to understand what this shows, we need to do some calculations:

The lab result shows 29,500,000 IU/kg.

Each tablet weighs 0.14 grams. So if 1kg contains 29,500,000 IU, then we can work out what each tablet (0.00014kg) contains:

29,500,000 IU/kg × 0.00014 kg = 4,130 IU

This means the tested amount is 130 IU higher, or 103% of what you see on the pack.

Sharing third-party testing and making it easy to understand

As you can see scientific test data can be difficult to understand, and we don’t want you to have to get a calculator every time you want to double check our third-party testing.

That’s why we have already been working on a project to display all of our third-party test results in a clear and easy-to-understand format, live linked to the products on our website from verified and certified by independent testing laboratories.

In light of the recent videos, our team has been working around the clock to fast-track this feature and make it available on demand via the website for customers within the next few days.

Addressing the claims in the videos

Selected results have been highlighted in the videos. Despite some products referenced in the testing showing results at 100% of label claim or above, the overall narrative has led customers to believe that the whole range has little to no active ingredients, which is not the case.

The products focused on in the video are herbal-based supplements, such as Ashwagandha and Milk Thistle. Herbal extracts are widely considered to be more complex to test than simple isolated nutrients. If the wrong testing method, extraction process, marker compound or reporting basis is used, the result can be misleading or incorrect.

Ashwagandha Calm+ and KSM-66®

Our Ashwagandha Calm+ is formulated using genuine KSM-66® Ashwagandha. KSM-66® is a premium, branded, root-only ashwagandha extract used globally by leading supplement brands and trusted by leading retailers such as Holland & Barrett and Boots.

NF Supplements and Logan King chose to highlight results relating to specific herbal ingredients where testing methodology is critical. We have shared the video content with both an independent third-party testing laboratory and a specialist ashwagandha distributor in the UK.

Both have advised that the withanolides in KSM-66® require the correct biomarker testing approach, meaning they may not be properly detected or quantified by an unsuitable or generic ashwagandha test.

We have attached our Certificate of Analysis (👉link here) for the raw KSM-66® Ashwagandha used in Ashwagandha Calm+, which shows 5.37% withanolides, equivalent to 13.4 mg of withanolides per capsule.

To provide further reassurance, we are fast-tracking fresh, independent testing for Ashwagandha Calm+ through a recommended laboratory route. We are extremely confident in the product and will publish those results on our website through the new third-party testing visibility feature as soon as they are available.

Milk Thistle 3-in-1

Milk thistle is another ingredient where the testing method makes a real difference to the result. The active compounds in milk thistle are a group called silymarin, and there is more than one way to measure them. Most milk thistle raw materials, including ours, are made and sold on the basis of a method called UV. The video used a different method called UPLC.

This matters because the two methods do not produce the same number for the same product. UV measures the silymarin complex more broadly, while UPLC counts only certain individual compounds within it. As a result, a UPLC figure will always come out lower than a UV figure, even when exactly the right amount of extract has been used and the product has been made correctly to specification. Comparing a UPLC result against a UV-based specification is not a like-for-like comparison.

It is also worth noting what the report in the video actually says. The UPLC report obtained by NF Supplements through Alkemist Labs, records a silymarin content but states no specification to measure it against, with those fields left blank. It makes no finding anywhere that the product is underdosed or out of specification. Presenting that figure as proof of underdosing, without explaining that a different method was used to the one our material is sold on, creates a misleading impression of the product.

Our Milk Thistle 3-in-1 is formulated using 50 mg of milk thistle extract standardised to 80% silymarin by UV, which gives 40 mg of silymarin per tablet, or 80 mg per two-tablet serving. We are confident the product is correctly dosed, and we are arranging updated independent testing of both the raw extract and the finished tablets so the results can be read on a proper like-for-like basis. As with our other products, we will publish those results on our website through the new third-party testing feature as soon as they are available.

What we are doing now

We are taking the following steps immediately:

  • releasing the new feature on our website, which will display our third-party testing results and show that our products pass the relevant markers for heavy metals, microbiological testing and active ingredient levels;

  • publishing results to show that our supplements are in line with the dosages listed on the pack;

  • taking appropriate action against in relation to the publication of these claims.

We understand that customers may have questions. We understand that videos like this can cause concern. We stand behind our products, our suppliers, our manufacturing standards and our commitment to customers.

Our supplement range is manufactured in a BRCGS-accredited UK facility. The latest inspection, conducted in April 2026, achieved a grade of AA — the highest grade achievable on an announced BRCGS audit. BRCGS is a leading global benchmark for food safety, quality and supply-chain compliance, used by major retailers, food manufacturers and food-service businesses around the world.

Under the BRCGS framework, supplier approval, traceability and raw-material risk management are critical parts of the quality system. This means our manufacturing process is not limited to checks at the point of encapsulation; it also includes controls over approved suppliers, ingredient specifications, raw-material documentation and batch traceability across the supply chain.

Wrapping up

Overall, our belief has always been simple: if we provide products that work, world-class service and accessible prices, customers will come back, and they will tell their friends and family.

That is what our business has been built on, and it is why we are proud to have a 4.9/5 TrustPilot score with over 100,000 reviews.

We strongly advise customers to be mindful when watching content online and to consider whether there may be a commercial motive behind it. We also ask customers to consider their own experience, and the experiences of millions of others who have felt and reported real benefits from our products.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, asked questions and given us the opportunity to address this properly.
