Tasteless but also saw zero results/benefits

Pros:
- Tasteless
- Easy to take

Cons:
- Expensive
- Have seen zero benefits after 6 months of daily use

I'm not sure what results I was expecting but I can say I won't be repurchasing.
I've been taking with Biotin and Collagen and have seen zero changes in energy, skin, nails, hair....nothing at all.

Maybe I get everything I need from my diet.

Dear Kea-ra,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're pleased to hear that you found the product easy to take, but we're sorry to hear that it didn't provide the benefits you were hoping for after six months of use. We appreciate your honest feedback and thank you for giving our Vitamin D a try.

Kind Regards

K2 Warning

I am a consumer who consistently takes d3 + k2 (4000 iu) without any issue (note: with most if not all co-factors, k2, magnesium and ideally zinc).
In all humility and seriousness, i would probably advise Nutrition Geeks to remove this option entirely, given the absence of K2 with such does of d3. The average western diet ususally has 25 micro grams of k2, while you would need 100 for this supplement alone.
Therefore, given that K2 helps prevent the calcium absorbed getting into soft tissues, it is not safe and definetely not advisable to take this supplement.

For nutrition geeks: I would advise to remove this supplement given the extensive range of d3 available and the risk of k2 absence. Note: I am just suggesting based on my personal view and do not have any expertise in the field except form personal use of d3 + k2. Secondly I love Nutrition Geeks, but I feel that this supplement can be removed, given its high risk and low potential profit margin, even if removed, given that there are other 3 on offer.

For consumers: If you are looking at a decent but moderate dose and, do not want to research into the co-factors of d3, then go for the 1000 iu d3 either vegetarian or vegan; they are safe given the low dose and the average western person should get exactly the needed k2 per day from diet consumption. Otherwise go and get the 4000 iu (Would recommend greatly, but remember to take the co-factors, I personally would advise for every d3+k2 tablet you consume, take 1 of magnesium to prevent yourself to deplete your magnesium levels.)

Delivery fast and easy

Good experience from start to finish. Easy to order with Apple Pay (tracked and received update notifications at each step). Packaging slim and compact to fit through letterbox. Arrived in Scotland 2 days after ordering. Product itself looks high quality, only 3 ingredients which are all natural. I work nights and get very little sunlight. Was taking Centrum Vit D3 tablets but could not believe the amount of artificial ingredients that were added to them, so giving these a go instead. Everything been flawless so far.

So good, so far

Early stages of taking the Vitamin D, so far, so good. A little to early to say on the effectiveness. I've been taking Vitamin D for many years, at a lower dose.
The strength and value of the NG product seems really good, I'll be back to post in the next few months.
Excellent packaging and delivery times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Vitamin D 4000iu Max Strength

Vitamin D deficiency is common, especially in regions with limited sunlight exposure or for individuals who spend most of their time indoors.

A deficiency in vitamin D can lead to a range of symptoms, such as persistent fatigue, bone pain, muscle weakness, and mood changes, all of which can significantly impact a person's quality of life.

Fatigue may reduce the ability to concentrate and perform daily tasks, leading to a decrease in overall productivity and well-being.

Bone pain and muscle weakness can make physical activities more difficult and uncomfortable, potentially limiting mobility and causing a loss of independence.

Additionally, mood changes such as irritability, anxiety, or even depression may strain personal relationships and diminish one's sense of mental and emotional balance. Over time, these symptoms may reduce an overall enjoyment of life and ability to engage in everyday activities.

The National Health Service (NHS) in the UK recommends that everyone consider taking a daily vitamin D supplement, particularly during the autumn and winter months. If you're unsure, a healthcare professional can perform a simple blood test to check your vitamin D levels and determine if supplementation is necessary.

Vitamin D3 supplements are generally well-tolerated. However, excessive intake can lead to side effects such as nausea, vomiting, weakness, and serious complications like kidney damage. If you have any health concerns or are taking other medications, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement.

The recommended daily allowance for Vitamin D varies based on age, health status, and exposure to sunlight. While 4000IU is higher than the general daily recommended intake for most people, it is considered safe and effective for individuals with higher vitamin D needs, such as those with a diagnosed deficiency or limited sun exposure. However, it is essential to consult with a healthcare provider before starting a high-dose supplement to ensure it is appropriate for your specific needs.

The Department of Health and Social Care in the UK recommends that adults and children over 4 years old should take a daily Vitamin D supplement containing 400IU. It's important to note that the required amount of Vitamin D may vary for each individual, depending on factors such as sun exposure and skin color. Those with darker skin tend to absorb less Vitamin D from sunlight.

For children aged 9 and above, a dose of 1000IU of Vitamin D3 can be appropriate and safe, with the option to adjust the frequency, such as once every other day during summer months.

Our Vitamin D3+K2 supplement is of higher strength (Vitamin D3 4000IU and Vitamin K2 1000IU). If you find the 4000IU strength too high, you can opt to take them once every 2-3 days instead of daily. This approach can be effective because both Vitamin D3 and K2 are fat-soluble, meaning they can be stored in the body's fat tissues and liver for future use.

Moreover, according to the NHS, taking 1000IU or less of vitamin K supplements a day is unlikely to cause any harm.

However, we strongly recommend consulting your GP or pharmacist for personalised advice based on the child's medical history.

Vitamin D3 can interact with several types of medications, including steroids and weight loss drugs. It can also affect calcium levels, so it's important to monitor if you're taking calcium supplements or medications that affect calcium levels.
